Tasmanian soil, Colombian soul
We connect the Colombian community across Tasmania, keeping our rich heritage alive through cultural events, shared traditions, and mutual support. Join our open-door community today.

Our Heritage
A Home Away From Home
ASSOCOLTAS was born in 2024 from a simple but powerful need: to bring Colombians in Tasmania together. As migrants navigating life in a new country, we knew how important it was to have a community to lean on. A place to speak your language, share your food, celebrate your traditions, and feel at home, even when home is far away. What started as a group of Colombians finding each other across Hobart has grown into an official association dedicated to keeping our culture alive and supporting newly arrived migrants.
Mission
To promote Colombian culture in Tasmania by fostering connections between local and Colombian communities, and supporting Colombian migrants in building a life they love in Tasmania.
Vision
To be the main point of contact in Tasmania for Colombians, the broader Tasmanian community, and government bodies, championing Colombian culture and making Tasmania feel like home for every Colombian who arrives.
The Committee
Run by the community, for the community
ASSOCOLTAS is entirely run by dedicated volunteers who donate their time and energy to support the Colombian diaspora in Tasmania.
